The Senior Accountant is responsible for the oversight and execution of Acushnet's global lease accounting, serving as a key contributor to accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. This role acts as the primary point of contact for lease-related accounting matters, partnering closely with internal business teams and international subsidiaries to review contracts, apply technical accounting guidance, and support month-end close and reporting activities. In addition to day-to-day execution, the Senior Accountant brings a continuous-improvement mindset—helping enhance processes, improve consistency, and support Acushnet's expanding global footprint. What you Will Be Doing Review, interpret, and validate lease agreements in collaboration with business partners and international teams Own and execute global lease accounting activities in compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16, ensuring accurate and timely reporting Perform month-end close responsibilities related to lease accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review Evaluate complex and nonstandard lease arrangements and determine appropriate accounting treatment Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies within lease accounting activities Support the Operational Accounting Group with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to support informed accounting decisions and business outcomes What You Bring Bachelor's degree required; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in auditing, accounting, and financial reporting Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) preferred Working knowledge of ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting guidance Strong understanding of SOX controls and public company close and reporting requirements Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges and expand responsibilities Our Commitment to You At Acushnet Company, we are committed to helping our associates thrive both personally and professionally. Pay Range:
