Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations during all financial reporting and transaction processes. Perform detailed account reconciliations to verify accuracy of accounts receivable and payable, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly. Handle medical billing processes, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology to ensure accurate claims submission and follow-up. Conduct analysis of financial data related to revenue cycle management, including journal entries, debits & credits, and double entry bookkeeping. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate negotiation with clients or vendors regarding billing disputes or adjustments. Maintain meticulous records of all billing activities, including audit trails for internal controls and external audits. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a focus on accounts receivable and revenue cycle management. Strong familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with medical collection systems is a plus. Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial concepts accurately while applying technical accounting principles in daily tasks. Excellent data entry skills with proficiency in 10 key typing; strong attention to detail for account analysis and reconciliation tasks. Effective negotiation skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities to resolve billing issues efficiently. Understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding procedures, ICD-10 standards, and revenue cycle management processes enhances your effectiveness in this role.
