Job Description:

Position Overview This role sits at the center of the company's procurement function, responsible for sourcing materials, subcontractor services, and equipment at the best possible value without sacrificing speed or quality. The right person owns the full buy cycle: from getting competitive bids out the door to cutting purchase orders and keeping the paper trail clean. What You'll Be Doing Drafting and issuing RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs to qualified vendors; managing the response and evaluation process Actively sourcing and vetting suppliers to make sure the company is getting competitive pricing and not leaving money on the table Negotiating terms, pricing, and lead times directly with vendors Onboarding and qualifying new vendors, walking them through company requirements and approval workflows Serving as a resource and informal mentor to junior procurement staff What We're Looking For 5+ years in a purchasing or procurement role, with at least 3 of those in construction Solid command of procurement best practices and sourcing strategy Proven ability to negotiate and close favorable vendor agreements Familiarity with construction-specific procurement, including subcontracts and material buyouts Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an ERP system Clear, professional communicator, both written and verbal Able to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball on details Sharp analytical instincts and a problem-solving mindset
