Senior CAD Designer AeroControlex - 4.5 South Euclid, OH Job Details Temp-to-hire 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Teamwork 3D CAD modeling GD&T Analysis skills Math Attention to detail Document management Drafting Technical Proficiency Full Job Description This is a temporary, full-time position (minimum of 6 months) with the opportunity for permanent placement based on performance and business needs. The Senior CAD Designer performs complex and non-routine design assignments utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) systems and collaborates closely with engineering and design teams to develop accurate, high-quality, and production-ready designs.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex and moderately advanced CAD design tasks using established design principles, specifications, and methodologies Develop and prepare detailed layouts, drawings, 2D and 3D models, and design variations based on engineering requirements Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to support design development and documentation Apply scaling, mathematical calculations, and design rules to ensure accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability Interpret technical data and translate concepts into production-ready designs and documentation Maintain CAD files, revisions, and documentation in accordance with company standards and document control practices Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications, and GD&T principles Execute non-routine assignments requiring independent judgment and problem-solving where procedures may not be defined Maintain coordination with engineering and cross-functional teams Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company policies Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of CAD design experience Demonstrated ability to perform complex and non-routine design work Advanced proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) Strong knowledge of design techniques, engineering standards, and GD&T principles Experience with CAD file management, revision control, and documentation practices Strong mathematical and analytical skills related to design and scaling Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and collaboration skills
