Position Overview:
The Controls Assembler I is responsible for performing advanced assembly tasks, ensuring high-quality work, and supporting the team in meeting production goals. This role requires expertise in assembling components, mentoring less experienced team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly skilled, and a proactive problem-solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
In this function you will:
Assemble complex components and equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions, ensuring all quality and safety standards are met. Lead and support team members in the assembly process, providing training, guidance, and assistance as needed. Perform inspections of assembled products to ensure compliance with specifications, addressing and resolving quality issues when identified. Troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges, collaborating with engineering and quality teams as necessary. Monitor and communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or issues to the appropriate departments to minimize production delays. Document assembly processes, maintain logs, and update work orders to ensure accurate records. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with company safety and 5S practices. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for process and product enhancements. Support inventory management activities, such as tracking inventory, performing cycle counts, and assisting with reconciliations. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required. Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification from an accredited school. Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing operations. Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and production documentation. Advanced mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite. US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree or technical certification in a related field. Experience with ERP or inventory management systems. Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues and propose effective solutions. High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and production targets. Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions, including bending and lifting. Commitment to following all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
