Description ⚖️ General Counsel ? Elite In‑House Opportunity | Confidential Client ? Hybrid | Southeast U.S. (SC/NC preferred - limited travel required) An innovative, growth‑oriented company in the industrial/technology manufacturing space is seeking a General Counsel to step into a newly created, high‑impact role supporting U.S. operations. ? Why This Role Stands Out + Newly created seat with visibility and influence + Direct partnership with executive leadership ?️ What You'll Do + Advise leadership on risk mitigation, dispute exposure, and corporate legal strategy + Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and key business agreements + Build and maintain internal legal processes and corporate documentation + Collaborate cross‑functionally while coordinating with external law firms domestically (and occasionally internationally) + Serve as the primary in‑house lead for U.S. litigation matters, overseeing strategy and managing outside counsel + Navigate complex commercial, IP, and technology‑related disputes, particularly common in manufacturing/data‑center environments ? Global Exposure (Nice to Have) + Primary focus on U.S. matters, with exposure to UK, Latin America, and coordination with established team in Asia Requirements ✅ Ideal Background + JD with active bar admission + 8+ years of experience + In‑house litigation experience (either hands‑on or through managing outside counsel) + Background supporting manufacturing, industrial, technology, or data‑center‑adjacent businesses + Long‑term interest in helping build and scale an internal legal function ? Office Flexibility + Preference for 2-3 days/week onsite for the first 90 days + Long‑term expectation: 1-2 days per month onsite + Travel required to a Southeast U.S. operations hub ?
