Senior Credit Officer Our Client, a relationship-driven community bank committed to delivering exceptional financial services, you will step into the role of Senior Credit Officer , a strategic leadership position overseeing the integrity and performance of a dynamic commercial lending portfolio. You will lead underwriting, portfolio risk management, and credit policy compliance while guiding teams and partnering with Relationship Managers to structure high-quality commercial loan opportunities, mitigate risk, and ensure regulatory excellence across all lending activities. To thrive as the Senior Credit Officer, you should have: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced financial analysis training preferred 15+ years of commercial lending, credit analysis, loan underwriting, and portfolio management experience within the banking industry 5+ years of leadership experience managing credit analysts, underwriters, or portfolio managers in a regulated financial institution Advanced proficiency in credit risk analysis, financial modeling, regulatory compliance, Microsoft Excel, loan systems, and commercial banking software; ability to travel up to 25% for client and branch engagement Your responsibilities as the Senior Credit Officer will include: Lead commercial credit underwriting, loan structuring, and portfolio risk management to ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal credit policy Partner with Relationship Managers to evaluate new commercial lending opportunities, perform credit analysis, and optimize loan approvals Oversee portfolio management functions, including covenant monitoring, borrowing base analysis, financial statement review, and internal reporting Direct risk rating assessments, policy exception tracking, and problem loan resolution strategies, including workout and exit planning Recruit, mentor, and manage credit analysts and underwriting teams, fostering a high-performance, values-driven credit culture Take the Lead in Credit Excellence Step into a high-impact leadership role where your expertise shapes commercial lending strategy and portfolio success.
