Jobs › Woburn, MA › Senior E-Commerce Engineer / Team … Robert Half Senior E-Commerce Engineer / Team Lead Woburn, MA Apply Description We are looking for an experienced Senior E-Commerce Engineer / Team Lead to join our wholesale organization in Woburn, Massachusetts in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position focuses on strengthening a Magento-based commerce environment, connecting key business systems, and improving the reliability of product and transactional data across platforms. The role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership while contributing directly to the performance and scalability of the online customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Guide technical delivery within the Magento / Adobe Commerce environment, supporting enhancements that improve site functionality and platform stability.
• Create and maintain integrations between the e-commerce platform and product information management systems to support accurate, consistent data movement.
• Develop, refine, and monitor APIs that connect Magento with related business applications, ensuring dependable and efficient system communication.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline product data processes and strengthen overall application performance.
• Investigate integration issues, resolve backend defects, and improve existing automation or support scripts, including work related to Python-based tooling.
• Provide senior-level technical direction to team members and contribute mentorship where needed, while also remaining active in hands-on development.
• Translate business and technical needs into clear solution approaches that support operational goals and system usability.
• Support work within ERP-connected environments, helping maintain alignment between commerce applications and core business systems. Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in e-commerce engineering, including substantial work with Magento or Adobe Commerce.
• Proven background integrating product information management platforms, with Akeneo experience considered beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of API design, implementation, and troubleshooting across interconnected application environments.
• Experience supporting ERP-integrated solutions and working with enterprise business systems such as Sage-related platforms.
• Proficiency in analyzing business requirements and converting them into practical technical solutions.
• Hands-on capability with Python for scripting, troubleshooting, or process improvement tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects or provide technical guidance in a senior engineering capacity.
• Availability to work onsite five days per week in Woburn, Massachusetts.
