Job description: Integrated Site Services, Inc., is a prominent commercial contractor specializing in large commercial landscape, irrigation, and site work civil construction. We are currently seeking a Estimator/ External Business Development Specialist with a diverse set of skills and knowledge. This position will be involved in the entire process of estimating and bidding project opportunities for the company, as well as sourcing and maintaining relationships with the entities to whom we provide bids too. The candidate will be required to perform detailed take-offs and analysis of self-performed scopes, as well as organize and solicit subcontractor quotes for scopes we do not self-perform. The desired applicant will have extensive experience in fast pace commercial estimating for both private and public projects. civil construction and commercial landscape/irrigation construction experience is a plus. Our projects range in size from several hundred thousand dollars to ten million dollars. Our company operates as both a subcontractor for new commercial properties and a general contractor for municipalities and other direct owners. Examples include complete construction of city parks, open spaces, plaza areas, large non potable irrigation systems, streetscapes, restroom and shelter buildings, concrete walls, trails systems, parking areas, and similar project types. The role requires a diverse and current skill set to properly perform the various aspects of the estimating and business development process in alignment with company procedures and industry standards.

This includes:

• Excellent math skills, especially as they pertain to construction economics
• Strong technology skills, particularly with takeoff software, Microsoft applications, spreadsheets, data collection tools, and shared file-drive systems
• A clear, structured communication style and strong critical-thinking skills
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and planning abilities
• A solid understanding of commercial construction industry practices and standards, including construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to train and monitor others
• Self-motivation, with the ability to operate independently and thrive in a busy environment
• Ability to develop and improve processes and methods As with all roles within our company, you will at times be involved in other aspects of construction administration and project management.
