Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to develop accurate and timely cost estimates and proposals for both public and private civil construction projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring competitive bidding and successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and site conditions Review project drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine scope and requirements Perform and verify quantity take-offs for accuracy Analyze alternative construction methods to improve bid competitiveness Select appropriate public and private projects for bidding Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and agencies Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors Submit RFIs to agencies, owners, contractors, and architects as needed Evaluate risks and develop bidding strategies Participate in bid reviews with management Prepare and submit bid packages in a timely manner Coordinate with operations teams for project handoff after award Support Project Managers to maintain cost control and uphold estimate integrity Attend job site visits and pre-bid meetings as required Qualifications 10-15 years of estimating experience in civil or highway construction Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Architecture, or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction principles Experience with estimating and takeoff software including: HCSS (HeavyBid preferred) AGTEK Bluebeam Primavera scheduling software Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of agency (U)DBE requirements Work Environment & Requirements Ability to travel to job sites and attend preconstruction meetings as needed Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Opportunities for career growth and advancement Collaborative team environment Apply today to join a team focused on delivering high-quality civil construction projects.
