The Conco Companies is seeking an experienced full-time Reinforcing Steel Estimator. The position prepares quantity and material take-offs of reinforcing steel and related accessories from civil, structural and architectural drawings, specifications and other bid documents, and is accountable for the accuracy of the quantities that carry into Conco's proposals. Our reinforcing work spans podium and mass-timber hybrid structures, Type V residential over slab-on-grade, cast-in-place high-rise with post-tensioned decks, and heavy civil and water-treatment structures. The estimator is expected to be equally reliable across all of them. Primary Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely quantity and material take-offs of reinforcing steel and related accessories from civil, structural and architectural drawings, specifications and other bid data, to determine the reinforcing required for a construction project. Build material take-offs using industry-specific software; ASA or other rebar estimating software Maintain revision and document control — confirm that the take-off and the drawing set on file all reference the same issue and addenda; re-reconcile and document the quantity delta on every revision, addendum and post-bid change request. Participate in internal estimate review and QC, and support RFIs, bid clarifications and hand-off to project management and detailing. Preferred Qualifications Five years of estimating experience in the reinforcing steel construction industry. Experience across more than one structure type: podium and mass-timber/CLT hybrid, Type V over slab-on-grade, cast-in-place high-rise, parking structures, and water, wastewater or other heavy civil work. Familiarity with post-tensioned and stud rail construction. Experience pricing jobs would be a plus, and the long-term goal for the position Working knowledge of concrete structures and of

standards An organized and systematic approach to building, checking and documenting an estimate, including self-verification of your own quantities. Good written and verbal communication skills; raises discrepancies and open questions early rather than at bid time. Works well with others and a team player.
