Job Family Procurement Discipline Procurement Career Level M3 Salary Range $128,256 - $179,868 Note for Salary This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors. Job Family Description Procurement personnel perform supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, material and service procurement, production planning, outsourcing, vendor selection, expediting, and distribution. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals. Discipline Description Procurement roles oversee the end-to-end process of planning, sourcing, and delivering products or services to customers. Professionals in these roles ensure the efficient flow of goods, services, information, and finances across the entire supply chain network, from suppliers to customers. Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities IncludeThe Senior Manager, Field Procurement (Management 3), is a strategic leader responsible for defining, developing, and overseeing the overarching field procurement strategy and its execution across all field operations. This role provides executive-level guidance and leadership to Field Procurement Managers and their teams, ensuring optimal acquisition of all materials, equipment, and services for critical projects. The Senior Manager drives long-term strategic initiatives, fosters key partnerships, and implements policies and technologies that enhance the efficiency, compliance, and overall effectiveness of the entire field procurement function, aligning it with enterprise-wide supply chain objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Strategic Procurement & Business Acumen:
Define and champion the overarching strategic direction and vision for all field procurement activities, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide organizational goals, focusing on system-level optimization and significant cost-of-ownership reductions. Develop and manage a comprehensive portfolio of strategic field procurement programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and effective resource allocation across multiple projects and regions. Provide executive oversight and expert guidance on end-to-end supply chain processes within field procurement, influencing strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation at an organizational level. Lead the development and implementation of advanced cost optimization strategies across the entire field procurement function, driving innovation and efficiency gains.
Executive Leadership and Strategic Stakeholder Engagement:
Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and development for Field Procurement Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement across the entire field procurement organization. Lead and sponsor significant change management initiatives impacting field procurement, providing strategic communication and ensuring successful adoption across managerial and analyst levels. Cultivate and manage high-level, strategic relationships with senior executives, key strategic vendors, and critical internal stakeholders (e.g., Project Management, Engineering Leadership, Site Services) to influence decision-making and ensure field procurement's long-term success. Oversee the resolution of complex, overarching conflicts and challenges that impact the field procurement function, ensuring strategic alignment and maintaining strong organizational relationships.
Program Leadership & Performance Oversight:
Direct and provide executive leadership for enterprise-wide field procurement programs, setting overall strategic objectives, managing large-scale budgets, and ensuring critical deliverables are met across multiple projects. Establish and ensure the consistent application of best-in-class project and program management methodologies across all field procurement initiatives, driving efficiency and effectiveness at scale. Develop, implement, and maintain robust business continuity and risk management strategies for the entire field procurement function, proactively addressing potential disruptions and ensuring resilience. Define, monitor, and report on enterprise-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for field procurement, driving strategic improvements in areas such as overall cycle time, aggregate cost savings, and service-level attainment across all operations.
Advanced Analytics & Technology Strategy:
Drive the strategic direction and adoption of advanced analytics within field procurement to extract actionable insights from data, inform long-range planning, and predict demand patterns across the enterprise. Provide executive oversight for the strategic implementation and optimization of enterprise ERP and SCM systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle SCM Cloud) to enhance field procurement workflows, inventory optimization, and forecasting capabilities. Lead the evaluation, piloting, and strategic integration of emerging SCM technologies (e.g., IoT, AI-driven forecasting, blockchain for traceability, RPA) to revolutionize field procurement processes and gain a competitive advantage.
Operational Excellence & Strategic Supplier Management:
Formulate and guide the implementation of advanced forecasting and demand planning strategies across field procurement to optimize inventory levels, mitigate risks, and achieve significant cost efficiencies. Champion and institutionalize advanced process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, TQM) across the field procurement organization to drive continuous operational excellence and eliminate inefficiencies.
Risk, Compliance & Governance:
Establish and enforce comprehensive governance frameworks for all field procurement activities. Develop and lead the implementation of enterprise-wide risk management strategies for field procurement.
Executive Reporting & Financial Stewardship:
Manage and provide executive oversight for all field procurement departmental budgets and financial performance,. Develop and deliver high-impact executive reports and presentations to senior leadership and external stakeholders, communicating strategic insights, overall performance metrics, and the financial impact of the field procurement function.
Strategic Leadership Qualities:
Exhibit exceptional leadership, resilience, and adaptability in navigating and guiding the organization through complex, dynamic, and high-pressure global field procurement environments. Possess executive-level negotiation skills for major contracts, strategic partnerships, and complex dispute resolution, representing the organization's best interests. Demonstrate visionary leadership to proactively shape and advance the entire field procurement division, fostering innovation, driving efficiency, and achieving sustained performance excellence.
