Senior Manager, Supplier Quality
Equipment Delivery
Houston TX or Arlington, VA Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. The Senior Manager, Supplier Quality is responsible for developing a supplier quality team, relevant Supplier Quality assurance / control processes and leading end-to-end management of supplier quality onboarding, development, Zero Defect performance improvement, etc.
This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Quality Management and ensures that all external suppliers meet or exceed Venture Global's quality, safety, and regulatory standards through rigorous assessment, continuous improvement, and strategic partnership. The Senior Manager, Supplier Quality will work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Projects, Site Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality to ensure suppliers are compliant to specified quality and technical requirements as well as partnering to qualify, onboard, and assess / improve supplier performance. Responsibilities Define and execute the supplier quality strategy aligned to business objectives. Develop and lead a team of Quality Assurance and Quality Control professionals. Design and manage a supplier qualification program that includes risk assessments, formal process for approval and add to the Approved Supplier List. Perform supplier capability, etc, assessments and audits as needed. Develop and maintain quality assurance standards / procedures, etc. to ensure compliance to defined regulatory, product technical, and quality requirements. Act as the primary representative for supplier quality, interfacing with supply chain, internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure supplier quality support with supply chain and incoming issues to sites. Manage the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process for non-conforming materials to ensure timely root cause analysis and resolution. Establish a Supplier Zero Defect Program (ZDP) that includes developing, tracking, improving Key Performance Indicators (KPI) including escapes and supplier related COPQ, and developing a Supplier Corrective Action Board (CAB) for high impact Supplier escapes. Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers to improve their processes and build their quality capabilities. Deliver the Venture Global culture of quality reinforcing through supply chain. Provide regular updates regarding supplier quality performance to leadership at defined intervals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Science, Manufacturing, or Quality Management required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Supplier Quality field with at least 5 years managing a supplier quality organization. Experience leading RCA methods (ie 8D, A3) and tools as well as implementing effective corrective actions with proven results. Experience working cross-functionally, developing and deploying a strategy. Experience in Oil and Gas / LNG liquefaction facilities preferred. Experience working in a fast paced, transformational environment. Ability to work within project deadlines and adjust as priorities change. Possess the ability to develop, coach and influence. Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings such as P&IDs, Civil/Structural plans, details, Electrical Wiring Diagrams, and Piping Isometrics. Thorough knowledge and understating of all industry codes, standards, and industry best practices. Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills. 9001, international quality standards, and technical matters related to ASME and API codes and various industry, regulatory standards (ieFERC, PHMSA
). Experience with supplier audits, assessments, and inspections. Well-articulated with excellent written and verbal communication, planning, computing, technical, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel, both domestic and international, if necessary.
