Job Description At RTX, we are passionate about innovation and excellence. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Drafting Checker to join our team in Tewksbury, MA. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and quality of mechanical drawings and designs. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and checking mechanical drawings for compliance with company standards and specifications, collaborating with engineers to resolve design issues, and providing guidance to junior drafters.
Responsibilities:
Review mechanical drawings for accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with engineering teams to address design discrepancies. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior drafting staff. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback. Maintain documentation of drawing revisions and changes. Assist in the development of drafting standards and procedures. Support project teams in achieving design goals and timelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in mechanical drafting and design. Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
