Senior Pharmacy Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing Lead Location:

Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pharmacy Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing Lead to oversee specialty pharmacy procurement operations and drive strategic purchasing initiatives. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep expertise in specialty pharmacy purchasing, GPO contract management, reimbursement-conscious sourcing strategies, and margin optimization across multiple disease states. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly strategic, and experienced in identifying opportunities to improve purchasing power, negotiate pricing advantages, and support expansion into new therapeutic and disease categories while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage specialty pharmacy purchasing and sourcing operations Develop and execute purchasing strategies that improve margins and reduce acquisition costs Analyze and optimize GPO contracts, wholesaler agreements, and manufacturer pricing programs Identify special pricing opportunities, rebates, and contract enhancements across multiple disease states Monitor reimbursement trends and align purchasing strategies to maximize profitability despite fixed reimbursement structures Evaluate opportunities to expand into new disease states and specialty therapeutic categories Build and maintain strong vendor, wholesaler, and manufacturer relationships Track inventory utilization, purchasing trends, and cost-saving opportunities Collaborate with pharmacy operations, finance, and leadership teams to improve purchasing efficiency and compliance Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, licensing requirements, and procurement standards Create reporting dashboards and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership Qualifications 5+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing Strong knowledge of GPO contracts, specialty drug pricing, reimbursement models, and wholesaler negotiations Experience with purchasing optimization across multiple disease states Proven ability to improve margins through sourcing strategies and purchasing leverage Understanding of specialty pharmacy operations and medication supply chain management Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills Advanced proficiency with pharmacy inventory and procurement systems Strong communication and leadership abilities Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred Experience expanding pharmacy programs into new therapeutic categories is highly desirable Preferred Experience Specialty pharmacy or infusion pharmacy background Experience working with limited distribution drugs and manufacturer relationships Knowledge of PBM reimbursement structures and specialty pharmacy economics Multi-site purchasing or centralized procurement experience preferred To apply, please submit your resume and relevant specialty pharmacy purchasing experience.Pay:
