Job Description

As a Senior Process Engineer you will play a critical role in sustaining and enhancing the production performance of mature products. This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, supporting product lifecycle management, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective production. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a strong technical foundation, leadership capabilities, and a passion for operational excellence.
The Senior Process Engineer will:
Lead the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for existing products. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical tools to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase efficiency. Conduct PFMEA, gap analysis, and value stream mapping to identify and mitigate risks. Provide technical support for mature products, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements. Provide disposition for non-conforming material in a timely manner, providing clear direction. Coordinate the manufacturing launch of products in new manufacturing locations. Prepare and release documentation packages including BOMs, routings, drawings, and tooling/fixture requirements. Train production staff and evaluate launch outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and internal procedures. Partner with Sales, Quality, and Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and alignment with customer requirements. Interpret customer drawings/specs and provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM). Mentor engineers and technicians, fostering technical growth and professional development. Lead by example with a strong work ethic, accountability, and a team-first mindset. High personal accountability and ownership of outcomes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently. Effective communicator with experience working across multi-site teams. Comfortable interacting with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a drive for continuous improvement. The Senior Process Engineer position requirements:
Education:
B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience:
7+ years in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in SolidWorks and PDM systems (e.g., ePDM). Strong understanding of machining, assembly, and manufacturing processes. Experience with MRP systems, BOM creation, and process documentation. Skilled in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis tools. Familiarity with glass-to-metal sealing is a plus. The Senior Process Engineer position additional requirements: Interact with various departments and provide good communication to achieve quality product overall. Participate in cross-training efforts interacting with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement. This position requires US export authorization.
