This role combines technical understanding with strong commercial instincts, guiding product strategy, shaping go-to-market plans, and driving category growth. With solid knowledge of lighting harnesses, bracket design, and vehicle-specific fitment, this individual serves as the internal expert on lighting technology, applications, and customer needs across on-road, off-road, and commercial segments. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, definition, and development of new aftermarket lighting products, working closely with engineering to validate performance and ensure successful execution. Analyze market trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities in truck and automotive lighting. Build and maintain product roadmaps and long-term portfolio strategies across all lighting categories. Prepare and manage product documentation, including Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs), RFQs, and specification packages. Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet project milestones, quality standards, and launch timelines. Own product positioning, messaging, and unique selling points for all lighting product lines. Develop business cases, pricing recommendations, launch strategies, and portfolio justifications. Work with marketing to ensure consistent brand representation across packaging, digital content, and promotional materials. Support the creation of sales tools, training materials, and product demonstrations for internal teams and external partners. Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities, forecast demand, and drive profitability across lighting categories. Train dealers, distributors, installers, and internal teams on lighting features, benefits, and application best practices. Represent the lighting category at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions. Conduct ongoing research across consumer, enthusiast, and commercial channels to identify unmet needs and guide future product development. Monitor merchandising, sales performance, competitive activity, and customer behavior to provide data-driven recommendations. Oversee the lighting new product development roadmap and annual budget, ensuring smart investment decisions and effective resource allocation. Track and report on KPIs, category performance, and ROI for lighting initiatives and marketing campaigns. Drive continuous improvement in product quality, reliability, and overall user experience. Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of product management or product marketing experience in the automotive aftermarket, commercial accessories, or lighting industry. Strong understanding of lighting harness layouts, bracket design, and vehicle fitment requirements. Experience with lighting accessories or aftermarket lighting strongly preferred.
