Senior Project Manager Job title: Project Manager -
Electrical ConstructionLocation:
Hampstead, Maryland 21074Full time/ Direct HirePrimary FunctionManage multiple projects, up to $30M in size, as well as the direct supervision of foremen. Develop new business opportunities and relationships. Must have the ability to estimate and strong computer skills are required.

Typical DutiesIdentify bid opportunities and prepare estimatesPrepare and schedule work in coordination with GC, Engineers and Architects.

Effectively supervise a staff in the day to day administration of a project.

Train and effectively supervise Assistant Project Managers and Foremen in the company philosophy and Standard Operating Procedures.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policies. Put these in a clear, concise work statement for the field staff.

Develop and administer project material and labor budgets.

Preparation and negotiation of all change orders.

Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project.

Maintain liaison with prime client and owners to facilitate construction activities.

Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the onsite Foreman to ensure project is being built on schedule and within budget.

Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision.

Attend Progress Meetings as required.

Prepare monthly "work in progress" reports under the supervision of Owners.

Manage financial aspects of contracts (material buyout and purchasing, progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) in order to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the client.

Review any documentation prepared by Assistant Project Manager before submission to others.

Assume additional responsibilities as directed by Owners. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience Must be a business-oriented person. Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance. Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Word), Bluebeam and Accubid. Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Must be committed to working in a team atmosp. Must have a valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record. Minimum ten (10) years of experience, with proven track record.
