Job description The Opportunity Step into a leadership role where your expertise drives operational excellence. As a Senior Purchasing Manager at Hitachi Energy, you'll lead factory-level purchasing activities that keep production running seamlessly. This is your chance to influence supplier strategies, optimize costs, and champion sustainable supply chain practices. How You'll Make An Impact Manage end-to-end purchasing for direct materials and factory services. Ensure timely material availability to meet production schedules. Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs. Monitor supplier performance and lead audits when needed. Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing. Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for purchase order management and reporting. Lead and develop a team of buyers and analysts to achieve factory goals. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your Background Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, including 3+ years in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of direct material sourcing and MRP systems. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills. Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
