Senior Quality Lead

Core Responsibilities Coordinate the planning, execution, and recap functions involved in testing and implementing quality safeguards in the development and deployment of software applications. Lead the QA team for large transformational projects and oversee multiple quality leads, ensuring accountability for all quality assurance activities. Manage quality throughout all project phases, including requirement review, test script preparation, test execution, and recap. Identify gaps and issues in the user interface or workflow, highlighting risks associated with technical debt, schedule slippage, or other concerns to the project team. Schedule resources, estimate QA portions of project forecasts, manage testing needs with Shared Services, and oversee PLC tollgates. Calculate and manage traceability and test coverage, assist with test result triage, and report on overall application/project health, intervening with remediation efforts when necessary. Create a collaborative partnership with the Tech Lead, PM, BAs, and other project participants. Actively engage in grooming sessions, status meetings, and other project meetings, contributing as a thought leader to the final product.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies Education/Certifications:

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience:

Three or more years of experience in quality assurance with strong organizational skills and the ability to delegate, lead, and engage in extensive quality assurance practices and methods. Proficiency in test automation coverage and guiding exploratory testers to fill gaps. Comprehensive understanding of an application domain, release schedule, and user community, working with project team members to drive delivery. Ability to assess an application s functionality by risk, impact, and importance to prioritize test execution and focus test coverage appropriately. Expertise in determining resource needs and maximizing their assignments for the greatest impact. Process optimization skills, identifying opportunities for automation and eliminating waste to optimize resources. Expertise in exploratory testing and guiding others to maximize coverage. Excellent communication skills, capable of leading all project phases and detailing status and risks to the organization. Strong analytical skills to assess and report on quality metrics, application health, and project risks. Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills or Experience Domain knowledge or the ability to quickly understand the core functionality and client experience of an application.
