Training Course. (iii) A CHST designation with a minimum of four years in a construction safety role as a titled safety professional. Duties Develop, implement, and manage safety programs that align with EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide training and support to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety management into construction planning and execution. Monitor compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and other relevant regulations. Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and incidents, analyzing data to improve safety practices. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding safety compliance issues. Lead investigations into accidents or near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Experience Proven experience in a Safety Manager role or similar position within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk management principles, and compliance management practices. Familiarity with construction management software to track safety metrics and incidents effectively. Experience in occupational health assessments related to construction environments. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information to diverse teams. Ability to build strong relationships across various departments to foster a culture of safety.
