Job Description

Our client, an extremely well know, prestigious non-profit is hiring a Senior Specialist, Tax & Regulatory Compliance to support both nonprofit and for-profit entities, with a strong focus on income tax preparation, apportionment, and strategic compliance. •MUST have experience with 990T and 1120
Filing Experience Location:
Alexandria Schedule:
3 days in office ( T, W, Th)
Salary:
$75,000 - $100,000
REQUIERED Education:
Bachelor's degree, accounting/finance/administration (required)
Industry:
For Profit/Public Accounting (Required) 1120 Filing Experience 990T Experience Strong understanding of Corporate Tax & Tax Law 5+ years of experience The role involves work with federal/state filings (1120, 990T), NetSuite reporting, and collaborating across departments and external advisors Prepare supporting workpapers for various business income tax filings (federal and state), to include apportionment worksheets and tax models Maintain supporting workpapers for IRS Form 990T, unrelated business activities, and 1120 filings, including indirect overhead allocation worksheets Collect K-1 investment information Review income tax forms prepared by outside advisors, remaining abreast of form requirements Recommend estimated tax prepayments and create and administer online income tax prepayment accounts Coordinate tax forecasting and maintain relevant Excel schedules Prepare General Ledger tax journal entries, accruals, and reconcile general ledger activity Work with tax preparers to account for deferred tax assets
