Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on a major water and wastewater construction project located in the Big Bend region of Texas. This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a strong background in underground utilities, treatment structures, pump/lift stations, and municipal water infrastructure. The role requires excellent field oversight, crew leadership, and a deep understanding of heavy civil and utility construction. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily field operations for water and wastewater infrastructure construction. Supervise craft workers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure safe, efficient productivity. Coordinate closely with project management, engineering, QA/QC, and inspectors. Oversee utility installation, concrete work, structural components, and associated sitework. Monitor progress, maintain daily reporting, and ensure adherence to plans and specifications. Conduct toolbox talks, enforce safety protocols, and maintain a culture of safe operations. Manage scheduling, sequencing, resource allocation, and problem‑solving in the field. Provide proactive communication with stakeholders to keep the project on track. Qualifications 5+ years of superintendent experience in water/wastewater or heavy civil utility projects. Strong background in underground piping, concrete structures, and municipal utility systems. Proven leadership ability managing crews and multiple concurrent work activities. Thorough understanding of safety practices, QA/QC standards, and construction documentation. Ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and schedules. Strong communication and decision‑making skills. Willingness to work in the Big Bend region for the duration of the project.
