Job Description

Position OverviewA well-established General Contractor operating throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent with a strong background in K-12 construction projects. This role is responsible for leading field operations from project start through completion while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience working in both occupied and non-occupied school environments and understands the unique requirements of educational facilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead all on-site construction activities for K-12 projectsCoordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnelMaintain project schedules and ensure milestones are metEnforce safety protocols and maintain a strong safety culture on-siteServe as the primary on-site point of contact for owners, architects, and inspectorsOversee quality control and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local codesManage site logistics, phasing plans, and inspectionsExperience Needed10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projectsDemonstrated experience delivering K-12 school construction projects, including new construction, renovations, and additionsExperience working on occupied campuses with strict safety and phasing requirementsProven ability to manage complex schedules and multiple subcontractorsStrong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencingQualifications NeededHigh school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferredOSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProficiency with construction scheduling software and field technologyValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout DFWBenefits IncludedCompetitive compensation commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunityVehicle allowance or company vehicleComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and paid holidaysLong-term career growth with a stable and respected General Contractor
