Non-Exempt (Hourly) Position Summary The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in accordance with company standards. This position ensures a positive dining experience through attentive service while maintaining compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and all applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the POS system Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner Provide courteous, prompt, and attentive service to all guests Accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions using the POS system Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and beverage offerings Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and equipment Complete opening and closing side work as assigned Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely service Address guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary Comply with all health department, fire, and safety regulations Follow company policies regarding cash handling and loss prevention Support banquet and special event service as needed Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Key Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred Knowledge of food and beverage service standards Ability to operate POS systems and basic office equipment Valid alcohol service certification (as required by state or local law) Serve safe certification Competency Customer Service Orientation Attention to detail Professional communication Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliability and punctuality Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements Work Environment Fast-paced hospitality setting Exposure to moderate noise levels Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
