About the
Role:
The Server - Day Shift position is integral to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests during daytime hours. This role focuses on providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service, ensuring customer satisfaction from the moment they are seated until they leave. The server will manage multiple tables, accurately take and deliver orders, and collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth operations. Additionally, the server will handle payments and resolve any guest concerns promptly and professionally. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the restaurant's reputation and success by fostering a welcoming atmosphere and encouraging repeat business.Minimum Qualifications:
Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role within the food and beverage industry. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift. Basic math skills to handle transactions and calculate bills accurately. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Legal eligibility to work in the United States.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment during day shifts. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., ServSafe certification). Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software. Ability to upsell menu items and suggest pairings to enhance guest experience. Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base.Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a courteous and timely manner during the day shift. Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items and ingredients. Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or special requests. Process payments accurately and handle cash or electronic transactions securely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow and support during busy periods. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines throughout the shift.Skills:
