Service Advisor

Job Summary:

As an Internal Service Advisor, you will serve as the critical link between our Sales and Service departments. Your primary goal is to manage the preparation, inspection, and reconditioning of our RV inventory to ensure every unit—whether new or pre-owned—is "road-ready" for our customers. You will oversee the workflow of internal repair orders, ensuring high standards of quality and strict adherence to delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities Workflow Management:

Open, track, and close internal repair orders (ROs) for Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), used unit reconditioning, and lot maintenance.

Inter-Departmental Liaison:

Act as the primary point of contact for Sales Managers regarding the status of sold units and expected completion dates.

Technician Coordination:

Work closely with the Shop dispatch to prioritize internal jobs and ensure technicians have the necessary parts and documentation to complete tasks.

Estimating & Billing:

Provide accurate labor and parts estimates for reconditioning; ensure all internal billing is processed correctly within the Dealership Management System (DMS).

Quality Control:

Perform final walk-throughs on prepped units to ensure all requested repairs and cleaning meet dealership standards before customer delivery.

Warranty Processing:

Coordinate with the Warranty Clerk to ensure any factory defects found during internal inspections are submitted and documented correctly.

Required Qualifications Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years in a service advisory or coordination role (RV, Automotive, or Marine experience is highly preferred).

Technical Aptitude:

Basic understanding of RV systems (plumbing, electrical, LP gas) and mechanical components to effectively communicate with technicians.

Organization:

Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written skills for professional internal reporting.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in DMS software (e.g., Lightspeed, IDS, or CDK) and Microsoft Office.

$54,487.05 - $65,618.82 per year
