• Be the primary point of contact for customers from check-in to completion
• Excellent customer service skills
• Assist customers with their service needs
• Coordinates all customer contact with the Service Department, including repair estimates, service appointments, customer authorization on service orders, status of repair inquiries, payment terms and complaints.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules
• Promotes the sales of repairs during customer contact.
• Maintains follow-up with customers on suggested repairs.
• Order parts and maintain parts inventory
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service process
• Follow up on deferred work and build long-term customer relationships Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a service writer
• Strong understanding of diesel repair, PMs, tires, and diagnostics
• Proven ability to sell work ethically and effectively
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced shop
• Self-starter who solves problems instead of waiting for direction
