Job Description
Description A Set-Up Press Operator at D&H Industries sets up punch presses from gathering of dies and dunnage through 1st piece approval. The Set-Up Operator trains employees in operating the equipment. They support the production process and run production parts.
SCHEDULE
This is a 2nd Shift position. ($3.00/hour Shift Premium)Hours:
Monday through Friday , 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., 10-hour shifts. Subject to change based on business need. Typically, the work schedule is between 8-to 10-hour shifts throughout the year.THE WHAT
What will you be doing?- Set up jobs, complete 1st piece inspection, communicate with material handler to assemble all elements needed for the job.
- Hang coils and band and remove when needed.
- Access automation program and trouble shoot to get part to run. Not required to create program from scratch, but access existing program, and make small adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance functions.
- Train operators how to run parts and review all documents for oiling, packaging, quality inspection, quality alerts etc.
- Provide technical expertise and support production.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Set up and tear down jobs. Return materials to designated area or to the assigned location, clean press, and surrounding area.
- Write up dies in need of repair and equipment in need of maintenance.
- Bring raw material to drop zone when the job is done.
- Monitor production team and shop throughout the shift to ensure safety, quality, and productivity are at the expected levels.

Education & Experience:
Requires high school diploma or GED. At least 3 year of relevant manufacturing/machine operations experience. Forklift certification preferred.Skills and competencies:
Basic math and communication skills. The ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing instructions. Problem Solving Skills. Keen attention to detail is required. Understanding of CAD/CAM technology preferred.Similar jobs in Oconomowoc, WI
