Sewing and Inspection Technician

We're a small manufacturing company in Attica, Indiana, that makes high-end knives, pens and "EDC" (every day carry) gear. We're passionate about American manufacturing and recently expanded into a new, larger facility! We're seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our tight-knit team and help us grow our company. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-lead person with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail who has the desire to take over our sewn products area, final inspection responsibilities, and to assist with product packaging and order fulfillment. Responsibilities Maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work environment. Learning and mastering the production of our sewn fabric products. This includes but is not limited to measuring and cutting fabrics with cutting wheels, bonding fabrics with a heat press, and operating sergers and sewing machines. Performing final inspection, cleaning, and packaging of our products. Keeping shipping supplies and product packaging supplies stocked and ready for use. Keeping track of raw material inventory for the sewn fabric products, as well as shipping and packaging supplies. Assisting the General Managers in day-to-day operations, as instructed. Responsibilities may change; be added or deleted Required Training and Skills Reliable transportation for punctuality and dependability. Strong interpersonal and social skills Leadership experience and aptitude for training future hires Organizational skills Attention to detail for product inspection and maintaining accurate records Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Neat and legible handwriting Leadership experience and aptitude for training future hires Experience with fabric measuring, fabric cutting, and sewing machines is a major advantage, but not a requirement. Additional Information A background check is required for all hires. Paid time off, holiday pay, and simple IRA match are available for full-time employees, once accrued. We do not currently offer health insurance. Our typical work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Eastern. Overtime may be offered and/or required at times during busier seasons.
