Sheet Metal Estimator

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Estimator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise will directly influence project profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering precise and competitive bids. Duties Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine material quantities and scope of work for sheet metal fabrication projects Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine labor needs, costs, scope of work, and material requirements for a project. Review project documents and specifications thoroughly. Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate bid preparation. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment costs, and profit margins while maintaining transparency and accuracy Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in manufacturing, supply chain management to improve estimation processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project data to identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain and production processes Maintain organized project and estimating documentation. Experience Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Estimator or in a similar manufacturing estimating role Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings Experience in manufacturing or production planning environments with exposure to forecasting methods and demand analysis Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements accurately Strong attention to detail. Effective communication, and organization skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) Ability to manage multiple projects, and deadlines effectively.

Pay:

$52,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
