We are seeking a detail-oriented and capable S hipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team at our Vadnais Heights Plant. Will train! The ideal candidate will thrive in a teamwork environment, have excellent attention to detail, be capable of keeping accurate records, be willing to learn all aspects of the department, such as shipping software, inventory systems, strong math skills, driving a forklift. Prior warehouse/shipping experience is a bonus, but not reqauired.

SHIFT AVAILABLE

1st Shift (8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday) with two paid 15-minute breaks

WHAT DOES MY DAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?

Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items that need to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Operate a pallet jack throughout the shift to transport stored items from the warehouse. Pull customer orders using handheld scanners (ex. RFID bar code scanner) and warehouse inventory software. Pick up cartons of envelopes by hand to scan then stack them up on the pallet to build each shipment. Lift, stack, wrap, and secure envelopes for shipment. Load and unload delivery trucks staging orders for future outbound shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records on the computer by receiving and counting stock items and moving items in and out of inventory. Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties.

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

Prior experience in a Warehouse, Shipping, and Receiving role in a

MANUFACTURING

environment is a PLUS Prior power industrial truck experience in a production environment. Proficient in using shipping software and inventory systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Capable of maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and locations within the warehouse. Effectively read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Competent with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FUNCTIONS

Stamina & Mobility:

Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for the duration of a scheduled shift (8-12 hours). Must be able to frequently bend, reach, crouch, or stoop.

Weight Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally from floor to waist and waist to shoulder.

Manual Dexterity:

Constant repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulation of paper materials, boxes, and other components.

Range of Motion:

Frequent twisting of the torso and lifting above shoulder height.

Sensory/Vision:

Must possess tactile/touch sensitivity in hands and digits. Near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for quality control and safe machine operation.

Work Environment:

Ability to perform these functions in a manufacturing environment that may include high noise levels, varying temperatures, and paper dust.
