Shipping and Receiving

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders
• Unload and load trucks using a fork lift or other equipment
• Inspect packages for damages and report any discrepancies or issues
• Deliver orders to customers
• Sort and distribute incoming packages to the appropriate departments or individuals
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking numbers and delivery dates
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging items securely and labeling them correctly
• Operate fork lift or other equipment to retrieve items from stock
• Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving and shipping processes
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and requirements.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk may be required to perform additional tasks as needed to support the operations of the distribution center.
