Shipping and Receiving Associate

Join Value Added Distributors as a full-time Shipping and Receiving Associate to become an integral part of a successful business's day-to-day. We're hiring an organized and detail-oriented person to join our Redgranite, WI team and ensure inventory flows smoothly through the docks and warehouse. You'll work mornings Monday through Friday from 8 :00 am to 4:30 pm , with some overtime as needed. If you'd like to positively impact customers and our business, keep reading!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Accurately stocking products on shelves and pulling parts for customer orders Carefully pulling and moving products throughout the warehouse using a forklift Communicating logistics, shipping, and receiving details with carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.) Performing data entry and maintaining accurate inventory records Breaking down incoming skids Cross-training in different business areas Following all company policies and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement and efficiency Smashing targets and helping the company meet business objectives Completing additional responsibilities as needed

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

18+ years of age Computer proficiency and data entry experience Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet all deadlines Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trust and build relationships within the team Sharp attention to detail Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. (using proper lifting techniques), bend, and stand for extended periods Ability to read and understand tape measures and digital calipers Ability to follow all safety and cleanliness procedures Ability to work independently and collaboratively High school degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
