Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:

• Timely routing and proper shipping of all outbound orders
• Review and sort completed orders by freight terms, ship dates and ship via' s
• Assign NMFC classification numbers to product, calculate shipment densities, apply NMFC rules as required
• Accurately create and complete bill of ladings and assign carriers and PRO#s for all prepaid shipments
• Close attention to detail is required. Coordinate and schedule carrier pick-ups
• Develop a thorough understanding of routing guidelines for all collect accounts; complete routing procedures per routing guides for all collect shipments, web-based data entry will be required; ship as directed by routing personnel
• Ensure that collect ship deadlines are carefully tracked and met
• Coordinate and schedule collect carriers, ensuring that loads are scheduled and shipped on time per customer requirements
• Accurately complete all shipping documents
• Fax ASN's, packing lists, bill of ladings and invoices as required for each account; maintain records and files as needed
• Update shipping comments in MAS90 as ship requirements are met for each order; ship-log all orders as shipping is completed
• Tender loads to carriers; verify load numbers, PO#s, and ship locations; assign driver to load truck; ensure proper distribution of shipping documents
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements For Shipping Clerk:

• Requires basic PC and thorough MAS90 knowledge
• Good communications skills
• Ability to handle and understand diverse shipping procedures; some familiarity with NMFC guidelines is helpful
• Must be able to work overtime including Saturdays Racine@qpsemployment.
