Role Overview:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for all facets of inventory, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of products within the facility under general supervision.
Work Environment:
On-site Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Shipments:
Ensure that all outgoing shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and documented according to company standards and customer requirements
Verify Shipments:
Review and confirm orders, packing slips, and shipping labels for accuracy before processing.
Shipping Documentation:
Generate and maintain accurate shipping records, including bills of lading, invoices, and shipping manifests. Coordinate with
Carriers:
Communicate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve any transportation issues.
Inventory Management:
Assist in tracking inventory levels to ensure that stock is available for shipment and report any discrepancies.
Receive Shipments:
Assist in receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and logging received goods into inventory.
Customer Communication:
Provide updates on shipment statuses and address any customer inquiries or issues related to delivery.
Compliance:
Ensure shipments comply with all legal regulations, including international shipping laws, hazardous materials, and export/import requirements. Critical Competencies for
Success:
Organizational and Communication skills. Ability to read and analyze information. Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines. Excellent time management. Process improvement mindset. Knowledge of inventory control. Ability to lift heavy materials. Data entry skills. High School diploma or equivalent. Valid Drivers' License Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Minimum 1-year general manufacturing warehouse, inventory or related experience preferred. Forklift Certification is a plus.
Pay range:
$18
  • $21hour Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
