Shipping Lead

1st Shift Shipping Lead Job Description Join a dynamic plumbing supply distribution company as a Shipping Lead. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating daily shipping activities and ensuring a smooth workflow between shipping personnel and warehouse operations. Responsibilities Assign orders to shipping personnel and coordinate needs with warehouse personnel based on daily priorities. Coordinate shipping dates with production and sales service teams. Oversee and direct the activities of shipping and warehouse personnel. Monitor the organization and appearance of the shipping area to ensure orderly processing of shipments. Communicate any problems such as heavy workloads, handling equipment issues, or employee concerns with the Warehouse Manager to maintain a steady workflow. Assist in the training of warehouse personnel. Process all Bills of Lading (BOLs) and print labels. Enter shipping and inventory information into the system. Essential Skills Shipping and receiving Packaging Pallet jack operation Basic computer skills Experience with Forklifts Proficiency in handling BOLs Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be able to lift up to 75lbs (assisted). Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to bend while stacking boxes on pallets. Assist with unloading incoming trucks. Assist with putaway and stocking of incoming inventory. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
