Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to lead our shipping operations and ensure seamless distribution processes. In this role, you will oversee daily shipping and receiving activities, manage warehouse distribution workflows, and coordinate logistics to guarantee timely delivery of goods. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize inventory control, and uphold safety standards across the warehouse environment. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Oversee inventory management processes, including stock levels, cycle counts, and inventory control to prevent discrepancies. Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to promote a high-performing work environment. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track shipments, update records, and generate reports. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members. Manage logistics operations involving third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts. Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse workflows, reduce errors, and increase productivity. Oversee shipping & receiving procedures, including heavy lifting protocols and materials handling best practices using mechanical knowledge. Skills Proven experience in warehouse supervision with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400. Extensive knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, and logistics operations. Skilled in team management with the ability to motivate staff and foster collaboration. Proficient in forklift operation with relevant certification; mechanical knowledge is a plus. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to materials handling, heavy lifting, and warehouse safety protocols. Experience working within e-commerce environments or 3PL logistics providers is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving documentation and inventory control procedures. Pay:

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
