Job Ref:
0100 Hello…is it you we're looking for?

Are you enthusiastic with an optimistic outlook?

Do you like fashion and homewares?

Can you create beautiful eye-catching displays?

Have you got the gift of the gab?

Answered 'yes' to all of the above…keep reading.

At our fantastic and stylish shop in Millom we have a rare opportunity to join our amazing (and modest) retail team as a shop manager.

We need your great selling and visual display skills and more widely your general wisdom. If you have job-specific relevant knowledge that is a plus. We do enjoy a curious and enquiring mind and welcome entrepreneurial ideas- together we can maximise the income from donated items to raise vital funds for SMH.There's more… Being a small local charity, forward-thinking and not burdened with a long chain of command or red-tape the default answer to new ideas is often "yes " or "Let's try that, why not?". It's a refreshing approach -because your suggestions are valuable to us.

Have we got you interested yet?

You will need to be able to think on your feet to prioritise tasks in a small but perfectly formed space with never a dull moment.

It's an active role, both mentally and physically so versatility is a must - can you multi-task but still pay attention to the important details?

We would wish you to hold our Hospice values dear (Caring, aspiring, collabrative, sustainability) and have a passion for our charity as you will be representing us in your everyday working role. If you haven't realised yet…Communication skills are essential!

You will work alongside a team of keen volunteers who are the lifeblood of our organisation and of course the great British public - our valued customers and donators - #wecan'tdoitwithoutthem.

If you have the gift of the gab and are happy, go lucky, a "glass half full" kind of person with a great sense of humour and a people person then you will fit in just fine.

What now?

Being organised is key to juggling all the hats you will need to wear in order to deal with the varied tasks each day will bring. If you are practical and efficient that's an absolute bonus. Each day will bring different challenges, we hope you are the person who will relish those opportunities and thrive in our lovely local shop with a big heart.

If this advert speaks to you…if you can see yourself as part of this amazing team you know what to do…APPLY NOW.
