Job Description

Smidley Mfg., Inc. is celebrating over 100 years of providing Smidley products to the livestock industry with one goal in mind: provide products that rate number one in quality, ease of use, and feed savings for livestock producers. We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious individuals to join our shop team. This role involves operating woodworking equipment to cut lumber accurately and efficiently for production needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate radial arm saws and table saws for both ripping and crosscutting operations. Measure and mark lumber according to specifications. Ensure proper setup and safe operation of all saws. Inspect wood for defects and maintain quality standards. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Assist with material handling and inventory as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior experience with woodworking equipment preferred (radial arm and table saws). Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical ability to lift and move lumber as required. Reliable and punctual with a positive work attitude.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-Time and Part-Time shifts available Competitive pay based on experience
