Showroom Consultant

About the Role National Flooring is hiring a Showroom Consultant to join our team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in staying organized, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when the work calls for it. You'll split your time between helping customers find the right flooring for their homes and businesses, supporting our project team behind the scenes, and pitching in with the day-to-day work that keeps a flooring company running smoothly. If you like variety in your day and believe customers should always come first, you'll feel right at home. What You'll Do Welcome customers into the showroom and guide them through product options based on their needs, style, and budget. Answer questions about flooring products and basic installation considerations. Prepare quotes and proposals, and help move projects from the first conversation to scheduled installation. Follow up with customers by phone, email, and in person to keep them informed and projects on track. Help coordinate installation schedules and confirm appointments. Prepare work orders and project paperwork to make sure installers have everything they need. Help keep the showroom clean, organized, and ready for the next customer. Track inventory of regularly used supplies and place reorder requests as needed. Communicate clearly with teammates throughout the day and follow through on commitments. What We're Looking For A friendly, professional presence with strong communication skills — in person, on the phone, and in writing. Comfortable juggling several priorities and shifting gears as the day changes. Detail-oriented with good follow-through — accurate notes, clean handoffs, finished tasks. Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems. Customer-first mindset — you genuinely enjoy helping people solve problems. Prior experience in flooring, home improvement, retail, or a related field is a plus, but not required for the right person.

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits Pay:

$20-$30 per hour, based on starting experience.

Schedule:

Tuesday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, plus Saturdays, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.
