This role is perfect for someone with a passion for craftsmanship, a keen eye for detail, and extensive experience in residential/light commercial carpentry and general handyman tasks. You will be responsible for executing a wide range of repair, renovation, and construction projects at multiple south Johnson County properties ensuring high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various construction disciplines and be willing to discuss specific details with owner. This will be a contractor position so you will need to provide your own tools and transportation. Duties Perform detailed trim carpentry Possible light frame carpentry work Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, assemble, and install various materials including wood, drywall, stucco, siding, and metal studs.. Perform plastering, drywall repair, and general surface refinishing. Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors hanging systems, lighting fixtures, plumbing components, roofing materials, windows, and siding with precision.. Handle heavy lifting safely during material transport or structural assembly while adhering to safety protocols. Apply caulking and sealants for weatherproofing or finishing touches on windows, doors, stucco surfaces or siding. Assist with various odd jobs. Be comfortable with at least a 12' ladder. Experience Proven experience in carpentry with a focus on trim carpentry, framing carpentry, roofing, siding installation and remodeling projects. Extensive handyman experience across diverse repair tasks including plumbing, and electrical work (where qualified), Familiarity with construction site safety standards and ability to work effectively in various environments while maintaining safety protocols. Experience with heavy lifting equipment operation and use of hand tools as well as power tools essential for daily tasks.
