Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and setup of minor construction sites, ensuring all tools and materials are ready for daily tasks. Support skilled tradespeople by handling tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements. Participate in construction activities under direction and supervision. Contribute to site safety by adhering to safety protocols, inspecting equipment like heavy machinery and scaffolding, and maintaining a clean work environment. Assist with the installation of fixtures such as doors, cabinets, glass panels, and trim carpentry components. Support inspection processes by helping with quality checks on completed work and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in construction trades is a plus. Strong interest in learning various construction disciplines including hvac, carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing. Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments. Ability to read simple blueprints or schematics is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working at heights or in confined spaces. Prior experience on construction sites or with related hands-on projects is preferred but not mandatory.
