Skilled Tradesman

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction skills and experience, enabling them to perform various tasks on-site efficiently. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. The Tradesman will be responsible for executing construction projects from start to finish while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project specifications. Perform carpentry tasks including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, door hanging, and cabinet installation. Execute plumbing and electrical work as needed, ensuring compliance with local codes. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks. Engage in restoration/remodel projects, including spackling and drywall installation. Install flooring materials such as tile, laminate, vinyl, and hardwood while ensuring proper techniques are used. Utilize heavy equipment for site preparation and material handling when required. Collaborate with other tradesmen on-site to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Ensure all work areas are clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or a related field with a strong understanding of various trades. Familiarity with construction management principles and practices is an asset. Experience in roofing, hardscape installation, caulking, tiling, and restoration projects is a plus. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of building codes. Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
