Job Description

For more than 20 years, Taghleef Industries, Inc. has built a reputation as one of the world s largest and most recognized industry leaders in specialty BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) films. Slitting & Packaging Assistant The Slitting & Packaging Assistant is responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient running of slitting and packaging operations, for our Derprosa business line. This position works closely with the Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, maintain operational standards, and meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily shift activities by helping to coordinate material and production needs with Supply Chain and Operations teams. Help track shipments, respond to inquiries from Supply Chain and Customer Service, and support the timely fulfillment of orders. Provide support to slitting and packaging operators by ensuring material replenishment and meeting operational demands. Assist with the staging of materials and products to meet slitting deadlines, ensuring efficient operations. Support logistics coordination, including assisting with trailer requirements and ensuring smooth product movement within the facility. Help maintain compliance with
AIB, BRC
standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available for scheduled orders and shipments. Aid in packaging operations to ensure accuracy and product quality. Operate and assist with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) as necessary. Ensure cleanliness and organization in the packing, storage, and staging areas, and assist with waste management tasks. Assist with troubleshooting operational issues, working closely with operators and the Supply Chain team to resolve challenges. Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and operational protocols to maintain a clean and efficient work environment. Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree preferred (or equivalent experience in manufacturing/logistics). Prior experience in logistics, or operations a plus. Strong communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, and control quality teams. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in data entry, inventory management systems, and basic computer skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in a heavy manufacturing environment. Must be able to withstand continuous periods of moving, walking, bending, stooping, keeling, twisting motion, climbing and descending stairs and ladders. Must be mentally sharp and quick to respond.
