Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' growth as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CFY) serving a resource caseload in a vibrant elementary school setting. You'll make a significant difference in the lives of K-5 students, working with a manageable caseload of 25-30 young learners. This role offers a positive, collaborative atmosphere where your expertise will help foster communication and learning success. Your schedule will align with the school calendar, running from August 17, 2026 through May 28, 2027. You'll work a consistent 35.5-hour week, from 8:25 am to 4:00 pm, allowing for a stable routine and work-life balance. New staff training details will be shared as the start date approaches, ensuring you're prepared and supported throughout your transition.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current or eligible Illinois licensure as an SLP or SLP-CFY Completed Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program ASHA CCCs preferred but not required for CFY applicants Experience or strong interest in school-based practice, especially with K-5 students Ability to assess, develop, and implement effective speech and language interventions
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy sessions to students and collaborate with teachers and families Conduct speech and language assessments, write reports, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Integrate resources and materials to support diverse learners Guide students toward communication goals in a supportive, resource-based setting Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and ongoing professional development Experience a welcoming school environment where your skills are celebrated and your professional development is valued.
