Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CFY) for one elementary school serving grades K-5. Located near Round Lake, IL, this essential role focuses on helping young learners reach their communication potential within a resource setting. With a manageable caseload of 25-30 students, you'll deliver targeted speech and language services in a collaborative, supportive environment. Your dedicated schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:25am to 4:00pm, with a total of 35.5 hours each week. The assignment begins August 17, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027. New staff training details will be announced as the start date approaches, ensuring you're well-prepared to make a difference from day one.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Holds or qualifies for IL SLP licensure (SLP-CCC or CFY accepted)
  • Able to work with a K-5 student population in a school setting
  • Strong communication and collaborative abilities
  • Commitment to individualized student progress
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate speech and language needs for identified students
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative services as outlined in IEPs
  • Maintain thorough documentation of sessions and student progress
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings as required
