Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting young learners in an intensive preschool classroom setting. This opportunity—located near Aurora, CO—offers the chance to make a significant impact in speech-language services within a collaborative school environment. The on-site assignment focuses on one school, working closely with children and supporting their communication development.
Required Qualifications:
Current SLP licensure and active Colorado Department of Education certification Preference for SLP-CCC, but strong Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) candidates will also be considered Experience or coursework in school-based settings Familiarity with IEP process, documentation, and implementation Ability to perform comprehensive speech and language assessments, develop goals, and provide direct service Experience monitoring progress toward measurable student goals Willingness to mentor or provide guidance to SLPAs if needed ELL training and/or ESL or Linguistically Diverse Education Endorsement (LDE) highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy within an intensive preschool classroom Collaborate with educators and service providers to support individualized learning plans Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions based on current student IEPs Monitor student progress and maintain timely, organized records Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families as necessary Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment This full-time contract (37.5 hours per week) offers the professional satisfaction of shaping early childhood education and supporting students' communication milestones in a dynamic school setting.
