Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in the Baltimore area as a contract Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This on-site position provides the chance to impact learners in a vibrant school environment, working closely with educators and families. Your expertise in speech-language services will be essential as you assess students' needs, develop personalized intervention plans, and foster communication skills. You will work full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week, providing direct services across one or more campuses. The exact caseload, age groups, and number of schools will be determined, giving you flexibility and the potential for varied experiences within the school system.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Maryland (MD) professional licensure for Speech Language Pathology (CCC required) Previous experience in a school-based Speech Language Pathologist or similar pediatric setting preferred Ability to provide documentation, including images of licensure upon request Must successfully complete House Bill 486 requirements: district-level background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review Willingness to participate in prescreen interviews for suitability
Responsibilities Include:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers Maintain thorough records in compliance with school district and state regulations Engage in ongoing professional development This contract position begins September 2, 2026 and continues through June 17, 2027, ensuring stable, meaningful work through the school year.
