Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist to an elementary setting serving students near Chula Vista, CA! This contract opportunity is designed for professionals passionate about supporting children's communication needs in a rewarding, collaborative environment. This full-time position runs from August 2026 through January 2027, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Enjoy the structure of guaranteed hours and compensation for both direct and indirect services, with no extra district duties such as bus or parent supervision outside your contracted time. Travel therapists may also qualify for stipends.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology California state licensure (or eligibility) required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates welcome Previous experience in a school setting preferred Demonstrated ability to work effectively with elementary-age students Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Responsibilities Include:
Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in elementary students Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborating regularly with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Providing both direct therapy and indirect support services Maintaining accurate and timely records of student progress This role offers the security of guaranteed hours along with the flexibility and focus you need to excel.
